The process of taking in food and utilizing it for body growth, development, and providing the protection from diseases is known as nutrition. It plays a very important role in our lifestyle. If someone is taking good nutrition, it indicates that he is taking the proper foods in the right amounts at the proper time. Many diseases occur in our body due to taking the wrong diet solely.
Whenever we tend to take food or liquid, our body digests the food and absorbs the essential nutrients like Carbohydrates, Proteins, Fats, Vitamins, Minerals, and water from the food and converts it into the blood and energy to form our body healthy and robust.

Nutrients Definition

Nutrients are the substance within the food that is absorbed by the body for energy, building tissues and regulation of various functions. we tend to should often consume spare amounts of varied nutrients to take care of the healthy life. There are seven essential elements of nutrients that are necessary for our body. They are carbohydrates, proteins, fats, vitamins, minerals, water, and Roughage.

➲ Carbohydrates, Proteins, and Fats are the most important nutrients known as macronutrients.
➲ Vitamins and minerals are known as micronutrients that are also known as the protecting principles of food.  
➲ Carbohydrates and fats are called energy giving foods. they provide energy to our body. Carbohydrates contribute about 45% of calories in the most of the diets.
➲ Proteins are known as body-builder. They are the most essential for the body growth and repair of tissues.
➲ Water usually forms 75-90% of the cytoplasm. 70 to 90 percent of living cells are made up of water. In humans, two-thirds of the body is formed of water. 

In human nutrition, the dietary bulk minerals elements are Calcium, chlorine, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, sodium, sulfur, and trace minerals.

The most important trace mineral elements are Chromium, cobalt, copper, fluorine, iodine, iron, manganese, molybdenum, selenium, and zinc.

➲ Calcium and Phosphorus are deposited in bones and teeth to give them strength and rigidity. Calcium(Ca++) helps in blood coagulation, neuromuscular function, cardiac function and actions of many enzymes and hormones.
➲ Calcium is needed for normal muscle and nerve function.

➲ Phosphorus helps in maintaining the constant composition of the body fluids.
➲ Magnesium is required as a catalyst for many intracellular enzymatic reactions. Potassium and Magnesium are required for proper muscular contraction.
➲ Iron is required for hemoglobin and cytochrome synthesis. It provides red color to RBC. 
➲ Iron is essential for both transportations of oxygen to tissue and for the operation of oxidation systems within the tissue cells.

➲ Fluorine maintains normal dental enamel and prevents dental cavities. 
➲ Zinc helps in healthy functioning of the tongue. It helps in Co2 transport. It is also important for digestion of proteins in the alimentary canal. 
➲ Copper helps in the utilization of iron. Copper deficiency may produce anemia.
➲ Sulfur is the component of hormones. e.g. insulin. It is necessary for normal metabolism. 
➲ Iodine is essential for the formation of thyroxine hormone which is secreted by the thyroid gland. Deficiency of iodine causes Goitre.

Why is Nutrition necessary for our body in life?

Eating a well-balanced diet is important for growing our body and good health. Food and water are essential to growing our body and keeping healthy. A well-balanced diet contains some necessary nutrients like carbohydrates, proteins, fats, vitamins, minerals, and water. These all nutrients have the various role for body growth, correct functioning, the expansion and replacement of cells. Therefore, we'd like a good style of completely different foods for providing the proper quantity of nutrients for the healthy body.
